When Vestner Elevator Systems International began operating in New Zealand last year, we had a vision of growth in the Pacific/Asia region. The acquisition of Pandect in 2015 allowed us to establish Vestner NZ and add value to the Pandect brand of products and services delivered nationwide. Now with our recent acquisition of New Zealand Engineering Services in Auckland, we are able to further grow our product range and services throughout New Zealand.
New Zealand Engineering Services (NZES) has been providing accessibility solutions to private and commercial customers mainly in the North Island since 1988. Their product line includes elevators, escalators, travelators and building maintenance units. They undertake new lift installations, in addition to modernisations, refurbishments and upgrades to existing systems. The company also provides a maintenance and repair service to owners of accessibility products.
Founded in Munich, Germany, Vestner is a family-run company that has been producing elevation products since the 1930s. We formed our subsidiary company, Vestner Elevator Systems International in 2012 with the goal of expanding into the international marketplace. An integral part of our expansion strategy was the identification of suitable partners to enable this expansion. Pandect, which was acquired in 2015, was the first of these companies.
We then identified NZES as the ideal fit for further growth. As an established company with a reputation for quality products and excellent customer service, we knew that NZES’s philosophy also mirrored that of our own. We were thrilled when they agreed to join the Vestner family from April 2016 to operate as a going concern.
NZES now serves as our Auckland branch office, giving us the ability to further improve and develop Vestner’s service levels in the Auckland metropolitan area and throughout New Zealand. In addition, their location near Auckland International Airport provides us with convenient access to the markets of Southeast Asia, an area we have targeted for additional growth in the future.
